Our Goal, Mission and Hope
I guess I should start things off explaining how all of this started. A while ago I was introduced to basecamp.com and I will admit I got addicted and have been a strong basecamp advocate for a long time. While I was telling companies about the benefits of good project management I always came to the point where I cringed upon having to talk about the steep pricing plans. I have been an entrepreneur for a long time, with plenty of projects under my belt I knew that I might have to either find a very good compatible alternative out there that is cheaper, or maybe even free. But month after month, the search came up empty. So many companies offering project management got the hype they needed to make it big yet they kept falling short on features or even simplicity. Then I got excited, I knew if I wanted this built, I had to do it myself. So I talked to a couple friends, and all of a sudden it turned out they are as excited as I was. Hello freedcamp, how have you been! I know it might be a cheesy name, but I wanted to stress the similarity to basecamp. Other reasons for starting freedcamp include a broader set of features to accomplish more, yet keeping it simple. But I think this is where I should stop talking ;) I don’t want to give everything away just yet.

Angel Grablev
“President/UI Perfectionist/Design lead”
Gosh I hate talking about myself. I love usability, I also love free things. I’m a web developer, and a designer. Most of what you see in freedcamp i have created/designed. I design in photoshop, and I code my CSS and HTML in Dreamweaver. I am the owner of enavu, the network that owns this website. I believe people shouldn’t spend hundreds of dollars a month for a nice project collaboration system. I also believe that there isn’t a better collaboration system than freedcamp at this exact moment, I know i signed up for all of them.

Terence Pae
“Back-End Guru/Ninja/Pro and Vice-President”
We love Terence, not just because he puts the A in Awesome, but also because he is like the father of freedcamp. Everytime I say “Oooh, oooh, let’s add sparkles all over the website” Terence says “Now, now, Angel let’s keep it professional.” He is a solid programmer in plenty of languages that most people can’t spell. He is a student the University of Santa Barbara. He is also a great friend, thanks t-dawg. p.s. this was writen without his consent.

Jimmy Grablev
“Back-End Apprentice”
Yes, you noticed the repeating last names, he is my big bro, but that's not why he joined us. He believes in the same things we do, free project collaboration for all. He is a high end programmer like Terence. We are overjoyed to have him on our team, he rocks!

Eric Eadlam
“Beta Tester/Usability Helper”
Eric is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He is our main beta tester, and usability experience user. He is so positive I don’t think we could have done this without him. (side note thanks Eric)
